A powerful day of self discovery creatively expressed with imagery and vulnerability during Rae’s experience navigating a breast cancer diagnosis. The healing sanctuary was born on this day in June 2018 (when the story took place) in the Plainfield, Vermont woods. Rae originally shared this story in fall 2019 at an Extempo Storytelling event at Rabble Rouser in Montpelier, Vermont to a live audience. The story was re-created for a private audience as is seen here.
