Rae Carter, a Vermont herbalist, change maker, and healing navigator shares her path into herbalism at the Forest Magic Healing Sanctuary (renamed Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary in 2021) in Plainfield, Vermont.
Rae has been nurturing and growing plants from a young age, her intuition guiding her relationship with plants. She began gardening in her 20’s and working with culinary herbs which progressed to working with medicinal plants.
When Rae was diagnosed with cancer in her early 40’s, she reclaimed her relationship with plant medicine and deepened her study into herbalism.
Rae’s story as an herbalist is lesser known and this video brings it to life on the beautiful land at the Forest Magic Healing Sanctuary (renamed Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary in 2021).
