Wheel of the Year Ceremony
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21: Fall Equinox Mabon Ceremony
Celebrate the Fall Equinox and Pagan Holiday of Mabon at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary.
Mabon is a time to deepen integration of the harvest and release what calls to be composted. A New Moon Eclipse in Virgo falls on this year’s Fall Equinox and we will lean into the liminal space of balance in our bodies and with the elements as we begin the descent into winter. We will cast a full circle in the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft and charge the roots of our magic in their ancestral lineage of social and environmental justice.
Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary will support our weave with elemental medicine feel the grief of collapse and release that which is dying in our personal lives and broader world. Root tea will be served, brewed from medicinal plants grown organically at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary.
Join us for our Mabon Ceremony for a journey through liminal space and time. Bring your magic, power, humility, and grace. We’ve got webs to weave, spells to cast, and songs to sing for the death of dominance.

Details
The EmpowR Transformation “Wheel of the Year” Ceremony series celebrates living in rhythm with the cycles of Nature (and our bodies which are a part of nature). We practice Pagan Earth-based spirituality in community and welcome people from any spiritual or cultural background. Our ceremonies are simple and invite anyone interested in connecting with Earth-based spiritual practices to remember our land-based roots before the harms of colonization severed our relationships with land and each other. We draw from the Celtic Wheel of the Year and Norse mythology as that is the ancestry of our facilitators and welcome all Earth-based spiritual practices and traditions in our cocreative space.
Wheel of the Year Ceremonies average 6-14 people depending on the time of year and are designed to be both intimate and expansive, always with spaciousness for emergence and flow.
Age
All ages are welcome who are interested in participating in the ceremony intentions. Please do a separate registration for each person over 18. Please send a message if a discount would be helpful for additional members of a family to attend.
Timing
Please arrive, park, and use the facilities by 12:45 pm so we can open ceremony at 1 pm.
Food/Drink
Please bring snacks as you feel called and a water bottle.
To Prepare
Dress for the weather (rain or shine event – we will shift locations to emerge with the weather) and wear sturdy walking shoes. Bring offerings for any of the ceremonies.
Location
We will gather outside at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary, under the trees, in the mountains of Plainfield, Vermont. The space is partially accessible–please communicate any accessibility needs ahead of time so we can plan for accommodation. Community Wellness
Please protect your health and the health of others by taking precautions the week before the event (masking in public, hand and surface sanitizing, rest and nourishment, etc.) Please take a COVID test the day of the event and only come if you are feeling healthy (tired and rundown is okay – we hope the event will nourish you as well). Masking at the event is welcome and optional. Thanks for doing your part to keep community safe and healthy!
