Details
As with all EmpowR events, we gather in circle as the foundational space holder for our time together. Shared learning, deep listening, and embodiment practices help build a safe and supportive container for heart-centered relationship and community building throughout the day.
Facilitated by EmpowR Transformation founder, Rae Carter, the Potion Retreat is designed to explore the magic of plant medicine while also bringing awareness to what it means to live on N’dakinna Land – the unceded ancestral homeland of Abenaki People. The retreat will include intentionality towards the responsibility of becoming stewards of this land and uplifting indigenous voices and cultures without appropriating.
Flow of the Day
We will gather in circle for much of the day with movement, garden time, and sanctuary walks mingled throughout the day. We will flow with how the Elements and Weather engage with us. Please plan ahead to arrive before 10 to park and ground so we can open the circle at 10:00 am.
Food/Drink
Please bring your lunch and a snack to share. Bring a water bottle and extra water containers for amazing mountain water to take home.
Children
Each adult registered is welcome to bring one youth participant under 18 (optional youth donation can be offered in cash if you’d like). If youth choose to opt out of the retreat, they are welcome to frolic and play independently at the sanctuary. Breastfeeding babes are welcome to attend with mamas. If you plan to bring a child, plan to arrive early and please let us know ahead of time.
Camping
Camping is available for folks 18+ who are traveling to attend and would like to stay the night before, after, or both. $30 for one night, $50 for two nights paid in cash when you arrive. Please let us know ahead of time if you plan to camp.
Location
We will gather outside at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary, under the trees, in the mountains of Plainfield, Vermont. The space is partially accessible–please communicate any accessibility needs ahead of time so we can plan for accommodation. Learn more about the sanctuary vision which includes plans for how we can make the sanctuary more accessible. Please bring what you need to support yourself in circle. There is a friendly dog and cats on the premise who may participate at times.
Directions and more details of how to prepare will be provided upon registration.
