Community Building Circles with EmpowR Transformation
Join EmpowR Community members in a brave container to practice transformational change and transformative justice movement and community building.
- An embodied space to practice emotional regulation, communal care, radical empathy, self awareness, and conflict management for building a culture of belonging.
- Experience cultural somatics frameworks for collective liberation by grounding into our bodies and being connected to the Earth and our Ancestors.
- This space is for anyone who is on a path that intersects healing and social justice.
- Learning how to listen and be in heart-centered space together is a foundational skill for being able to navigate the ongoing turbulence of The Great Turning.
- Community building with EmpowR Transformation is one small way to support your resilience to keep showing up for yourself, your family and friends, and your efforts to build a more loving, just, and liberated society.
This is a monthly drop-in space so you can attend on the dates that work for you.
Details
In our community gatherings we work with practices and concepts from My Grandmothers’s Hands by Resmaa Menakem; Emergent Strategy (both books) and We Will Not Cancel Us by adrienne maree brown, facilitation practices from The Circle Way, and connection with Earth based animist practices we are each remembering and/or sharing from our own ancestral lineages.
Timing
You are asked to arrive on time so we can open circle together which is how we can cocreate a safe container. You are welcome to pop out to attend to family needs and family are welcome to pop in and say hello and even visit if they choose.
Food/Drink
Please feel free to snack and relax with a nonalcoholic beverage.
Location
We will gather online via Zoom. You are encouraged to be set up in a comfy space and to come as your whole self with whatever challenges or joy you may be navigating. This is a space to be in messy, non-performative, non-perfectionist company with other folks who are processing the intensity of becoming better humans in apocalyptic times. Please bring an item of meaning with you to serve as your talking piece.
