Empowerment for Holistic Healing
A Nurturing Workshop Series for Mind, Body & Spirit
A 6-part workshop series centered in holistic wellness designed to help you embrace the heart, mind, body, and spirit connection with your health and relationships. Workshops will be held Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 PM starting February 11, 2021.
LEARNING AND HEALING IN COMMUNITY
Participants will engage in healing practices that support whole body wellness. We will explore how to work with our own energy, tap into our intuition, and gain wisdom to support health and wellness.
The intention is for participants to feel validated in their own personal health challenges, empowered to navigate a holistic wellness path, and to normalize the holistic approach to wellness.
The workshops will hold the space to learn together in community and support energetic connections with our whole selves and each other. Sessions will be facilitated working with circle process and safer space agreements with a commitment to shared learning, equitable participation, and compassion for each person’s journey and set of circumstances.
The series begins on Thursday, February 11, 2021 and will be held on consecutive Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 pm. Each session will focus on an area of holistic wellness–The Physical Body, Emotional Wellness, Thinking Brain, Spirituality, Relationships, and Connection to Humanity.
Facilitation will be led by two cancer survivors who have joined efforts to co-create this workshop drawing from their personal experiences and professional expertise.
Stacy Burnett is a clinical social worker who specializes in supporting families and individuals who are dealing with trauma, mental health, gender related issues, and the emotional impacts of cancer survivorship. She currently has a private practice in Jericho and hosts the breast cancer support community Fiercely Flat Vermont on Facebook.
Rae Carter is a healing navigator and social justice advocate. She is intuitively and professionally trained in healing modalities including meditation and embodiment practices, vocal and cultural somatics, council facilitation, Reiki, Earth-based healing and spirituality, and herbalism. Rae is the founder of EmpowR in Plainfield, Vermont.
