Wheel of the Year Ceremony
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21: Winter Solstice Yule Ceremony
Celebrate the Winter Solstice and Pagan Holiday of Yule at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary.
Join us in ritual, tradition, and magic as we celebrate Mother Earth giving birth to Father Sun. Celebrate Yule and the Winter Solstice with a hearty and nutritious tasting menu and soiree to build relationships and deepen connections in our community. We will transition into ceremony for an interactive circle of connection, story, song, poetry, and divination, we will journey within Grandmother Cherry’s roots to receive wisdom from our roots to support breaking patterns from old thinking.
Join us to gently explore balancing energy polarity and resetting our nervous systems to receive from the dark, feminine, Earth medicine of winter and resist the constant messaging of growth, light, and projection, when our bodies and kin in the natural world call for going within and deepening our roots with rest.
The Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary apothecary and marketplace will be open to purchase medicinal herbal products made with plants grown organically at the sanctuary.
The Winter Solstice Yule Ceremony will sell out. Please plan ahead if you would like to attend.

Details
The EmpowR Transformation “Wheel of the Year” Ceremony series celebrates living in rhythm with the cycles of Nature (and our bodies which are a part of nature). We practice Pagan Earth-based spirituality in community and welcome people from any spiritual or cultural background. Our ceremonies are simple and invite anyone interested in connecting with Earth-based spiritual practices to remember our land-based roots before the harms of colonization severed our relationships with land and each other. We draw from the Celtic Wheel of the Year and Norse mythology as that is the ancestry of our facilitators and welcome all Earth-based spiritual practices and traditions in our cocreative space.
Wheel of the Year Ceremonies average 6-14 people depending on the time of year and are designed to be both intimate and expansive, always with spaciousness for emergence and flow.
Age
We recommend the Winter Solstice/Yule gathering for ages 18 and up. Please do a separate registration for each person attending.
Timing
Please plan to attend both the soiree/marketplace (4-6) and the ceremony (6-9) so we can have an intimate and connected container for this magical evening.
Food/Drink
Old English Yule food will be served and nonalcoholic beverages will be provided.
To Prepare
Dress for how your imagination conveys a cozy Yule ceremony. Bring offerings for the altar.
Location
We will gather in the Sanctuary Room at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary in Plainfield, Vermont. The ceremony space is on the second floor up one flight of stairs. Uley, the Sanctuary therapy dog will greet you with friendly barking (how he says hello) and will join us along with Rider and maybe Sade (witch cats). Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary is located on accessible, mountain roads.
