THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31: Samhain Ceremony
Celebrate the Pagan Holiday of Samhain at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary.
Dip into the underworld for a seasonal dance with the ancestors. Explore the roots of Samhain in relationship to our blood, soul, plant, and animal ancestors and call in our deepening connection to these ancestors for support manifesting (witchafesting) transcendence with your soul purpose and how it relates to collective consciousness.
Honor the Pagan remembrance of Samhain in full witch vibes with time inside connecting around a candlelit circle and outside moving with Spirit in the darkening woods.
This gathering will be cocreated with the ancestors in real time as we conjure a container together. Bring what magical items are called to join you (especially related to your ancestors) and dress in your most authentic (to your wholeness) witchy attire.
Our Samhain “Wheel of the Year” gathering takes place at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary – an herbal healing sanctuary in the forest.

The EmpowR Transformation “Wheel of the Year” Ceremony series celebrates living in rhythm with the cycles of Nature (and our bodies which are a part of nature). We practice Pagan Earth-based spirituality in community and welcome people from any spiritual or cultural background. Our ceremonies are simple and invite anyone interested in connecting with Earth-based spiritual practices to remember our land-based roots before the harms of colonization severed our relationships with land and each other. We draw from the Celtic Wheel of the Year and Norse mythology as that is the ancestry of our facilitators and welcome all Earth-based spiritual practices and traditions in our cocreative space.
Age
We recommend the Samhain gathering for ages 16 and up. Please do a separate registration for each person attending.
Timing
Please arrive, park, and use the facilities by 5:45 pm so we can open ceremony at 6 pm.
Food/Drink
Please bring treats to offer our ancestors and to indulge with them (and a water bottle).
To Prepare
Dress for an outside component and in your most witchy attire (authentic to you). Bring offerings for the altar.
Location
We will gather both outside and inside at Grandmother Cherry Sanctuary in the mountains of Plainfield, Vermont. Most of our time will be inside the Sanctuary Room, which is up one flight of stairs. Uley, the Sanctuary therapy dog will greet you and join us for ceremony.
